Brook is a coastal village on the western side of the Isle of Wight. Throughout the year there are activities and events which attract cyclist and walkers, as well as a full range of adventure activities on the doorstep, including kayaking, surfing, kite surfing and paddle boarding.

The Potting Shed is directly on the ‘round the island cycling route’, fully sign posted and a challenge which attracts road cyclists from all over the country.
Fabulous mountain biking routes can be easily accessed straight from The Potting Shed.

A Spring walking festival includes the well renowned ‘Walk the Wight’, with its stunning finishing point at The Needles, just a short drive away.

Brook beach, within a ten-minute walk of The Potting shed, is a fabulous spot for fossil hunting and at certain times attracts kite-surfers. At low tide it is easy to walk round the beach to the famous surfing beach of Compton Bay.

Freshwater Bay is a stunning spot for both sun bathing and safe swimming, with coves to explore. Local kayak and paddle board hire are available.
For those looking for more sedate activities, this area attracts artists and photographers, with gorgeous landscapes and coastal views.

The sailing town of Yarmouth is a short drive away and offers a host of restaurants, pubs, cafes and shops.

Most importantly, the local pub is within a ten-minute walk from the Potting Shed and offers both lunches and evening meals, set in an elevated position with superb sea views from the pub garden.
